Sugar Paper Planner Review

I’ve been using this Sugar Paper Planner for a good month and I thought that was a good amount of time to tell you what I think about it.

I had no plans to get this planner, but then I saw a youtube video on it and saw all the different checklists for different categories. I didn’t know how I would use it exactly, but wanted to add it to my ever growing planner collection

First lets talk about the outside. Its a very light gray, and has 2017 on the front, in big gold letters. Its coiled, but the coil is covered, which I like. The back of the cover has gold polka dots and says “this belongs to” with a line underneath. On the right page it says “The Signature Planner 2016-2017”

After that page is 2016 and 2017 at a glance, and then there is a double sided pocket folder which is nice, to add things to.

Next you get a page for your personal information, that I never use personally. Then theres a couple of pages for contacts.

The monthly view is very clean like all Sugar Paper planners. Theres no decor in these planners, strictly business, as I like to call it.

You get a page for monthly notes, which is great for reflecting, brain dumping, journaling ect. Next to that is a page that says This Month and you have a goals checklists that consist  of

  • Work
  • Personal
  • Health
  • Financial

Then there is a box for

  • Focus on
  • Important dates
  • Ect.

On your weekly view you get a page that says This Week that consist of

  • Top three
  • To do
  • Don’t forget
  • This weeks goal
  • To call
  • To email
  • To buy

The page next to it is your week on one page with a shared weekend

Now what do I think about this planner. I LOVE IT!! It mimics the GTD method really well, and I love that. The thing I love the mosts are all the checklists. I dont have to think about what I need to do, the checklists basically do that for me.

One thing and only one thing I dont like is the shared weekend. We actually do things on the weekends, so I hate when planer companies do this. But other than that I have no qualms about this planner. Its for the productivity person who likes to get things done, and not worry about decor, stickers, washi, ect. Now you can decorate this if you want, but that wont leave you much space.

Using this planner has helped me be even more productive and organized. I decorate a tiny bit, but I just focus on my tasks, and thats what this planner as made for.
